Bologna Welcomes the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Travelling Exhibition
The travelling yellow tent of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers has opened in Bologna, where the exhibition will remain through 8 September.
Approximately 100 guests were present for the opening, including people who had previously worked alongside the volunteers during emergencies.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who recalled the assistance provided following the 2024 floods. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also spoke emotionally about the assistance received when his restaurant was news european commission affected by mud and water.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, spoke about volunteer support given to communities affected by the 2012 earthquake.
The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme combines community assistance with disaster-response activities.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can see displays about humanitarian work and practical assistance while learning about methods addressing communication, education, relationships and everyday challenges.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an example of practical solidarity and civic responsibility.
